Academic calendar

Semester I: 1st week of September to 3rd week of December
Semester II: 1st week of January to 3rd week of April

Orientation generally commences the 1st week of September for Semester I and the 1st week of January for Semester II.

Exams take place in the 2nd and 3rd week of December for Semester I and the 2nd and 3rd week of April for Semester II.

Requirements

There are no specific requirements for this programme

Areas of study open to exchange students

All areas of study are available to exchange students, except:

Telfer School of Management (business), Medicine and Education (Undergrad), Nursing and Nutrition program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, First cycle education / Faculty of Education.

NOTA: Very limited spots for the Faculty of Law, Common Law section

Housing assistance

There is no on-campus housing guarantee for exchange students. Places are limited. There is assistance available when looking at off-campus housing.

Please mention in your motivation letter what Faculty and study programme at University of Ottawa you would like to apply for.

After the 1 December deadline it is not possible anymore to apply for an exchange to this partner university, even for semester 2 (start January next academic year), due to early application deadlines. This means you have to apply before December 1st.
