Café Theater Festival – Tiuri - Echo

A moving performance about what it's like to have a full mind

The Café Theater Festival (CTF) blends performing arts and hospitality into a place where nothing is as it seems. Your table suddenly becomes a stage, and a noisy regular customer turns out to be an actor. Cafés and other hospitality establishments in Utrecht, Arnhem, and Rotterdam serve as the backdrop for short 'free' (pay what you can afterward) performances by new artists.

Echo

A visual, poetic, and also moving performance about what it's like to have a full mind, performed by Rutger and Meike. Want to know more?

Theater Company Tiuri

Rutger, 33, has been working as an actor for 13 years with the theater company Tiuri and also has a great passion for hospitality. Rutger's significant talent lies in immersive acting. Additionally, he has Down syndrome.

Meike, 24, has been working as a theater maker since her graduation, also with the Tiuri company. She doesn't have Down syndrome, but she also occasionally experiences a full mind.

We expect that Rutger and Meike together can beautifully fill the space at Parnassos in a theatrically amusing plea to occasionally empty your mind.
