Master's Honours Programmes
Faculty-Specific Honours Education
You will deepen your knowledge of your own discipline with an honours programme within your own degree
University-wide Honours Education
At the UU Honours College you can follow interdisciplinary honours programmes, which are open to all UU students.
Honours education within your Master's programme
A number of Master's programmes offer an honours programme, which you can usually commense at the start of your Master's programme. On your programme page you will find information about the honours education offered at your specific Master's programme. More information about the faculty-specific honours programmes can be found here. General information can be found on the UU Masters site.
University-wide Honours Programmes
In an interdisciplinary honours programme, you are challenged to look beyond your own discipline. In the university-wide programmes of the Honours College, you will work on various social and academic issues together with motivated students and academics from other disciplines. Sometimes, you will also work with stakeholders from the private or public sector. In approaching issues from different perspectives, you will learn how to navigate the complexity of contemporary society. Each interdisciplinary programme has its own approach. The study load and duration also differ per programme. Click here for more information about our interdisciplinary honours programmes.
The UU Honours College interdisplinary honours programmes are followed in addition to your regular Master's programme. These programmes are open to students from all Master's programmes at Utrecht University.
