Academic calendar | Semester I: 1st week of September – last week of January Orientation generally commences the 1st week of September for Semester I and the 1st week of February for Semester II. Exams take place in January for Semester I and in June for Semester II. |

There is a well-developed public transportation and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the city centre, main building of the University of Latvia as well as the Old Town. |

Credits | Latvian credit point is defined as a one-week full-time study workload. An average workload of a full-time study year in most HE programmes is 40 credit points. Latvian credit point system is compatible with ECTS. The number of ECTS credits is found by multiplying the number of Latvian credit points by a factor of 1.5. Grading system: 1 – 10 |
