Academic Calendar | Simon Fraser University operates on a trimester system. Each academic term is 15 weeks in length, including the final exam period. Although the calendar year is divided into three terms, two terms are equivalent to one full academic year. Exchange/Study Abroad students may attend SFU for one or two of the following: Fall term (early September – mid December) |

Courses at Master's level | Yes, but there are limitations and uncertainties: do read this website carefully. Simon Fraser can accept graduate students from Utrecht, though we must note that most graduate students study at the undergraduate level while on exchange at SFU (especially when they are in the 1st year of their Masters degree, ie their 4th year of university study). If students wish to take graduate level courses, their application will need to be reviewed by the academic unit.
