The language of instruction is mainly Greek. Some faculties offer courses in English.

Language of instruction

Courses are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the:

  • Foreign Language Faculties 
  • Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language)
  • School of Journalism & Mass Communication
  • School of Economics

In all the other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small group of students.

Housing assistance

The university does not offer their own accomodation. The Department of European Educational Programmes, in order to help the Incoming Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus students to find accommodation, has added in its current website a link showing flat and/or room advertisements from independent landlords.

Estimated living costs per month

Living in Thessaloniki will cost you around 600 Euro per month.

Normal study load per term in credits:  30 ECTS

Grading system: A - F
Minimum pass: E (>5%)
