After your return
Transfer of credits
We usually receive transcripts with grades within two months after the end of your semester abroad and your return to Utrecht. Prior to your departure from your host institution, please ensure that they will send your transcript to the UCU International Office.
The approval of your Learning Agreement by the UCU Exam Board is the guarantee that the courses on your exchange transcript will count towards your degree programme. If there are courses on your exchange transcript that are not approved by the Exam Board, they will not count for your UCU programme. The UCU Registrar's Office enters your courses in Osiris, and converts the credits as applicable, on the basis of the Utrecht University conversion table. For the 2024-2025 year, your grades are converted on the basis of grade conversion tables approved by the UCU Exam Board. (Note: the conversion of grades is due to be discontinued from the 2025-2026 year onwards. The original exchange grades would then be included on your transcript, and not count towards your GPA.)
Enrolment
If you are going on exchange in your final semester, you must stay enrolled with UCU until your exchange grades have been received and processed, so you can officially graduate from UCU. You need to be enrolled in Studielink when you graduate.
Evaluation
Upon your return, you will be required to complete an exchange evaluation. If applicable: Please provide the UCU International Office with a copy of your Erasmus report. These surveys and reports will assist future students applying for exchange and are kept for future reference. Please note that completing the survey is a mandatory requirement for your exchange.
