About One Health

One Health prepares the student for a career in multidisciplinary research on the interface of the health of humans, animals and environment with a clear focus on infectious diseases.

The Master’s programme deals with the health and well-being of humans and animals, on a national and international level through the prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases related to the cohabitation of animals and humans, taking into account environmental, social, ecological and economical aspects. The One Health concept recognises that health of people is connected to (the health of) animals and the environment and vice versa.
The programme starts with Introducing Life Sciences, a mandatory introduction week for all Master’s students of the GSLS.
