Academic calendar

Semester I: 1st Week of March - last week of June
Semester II: 1st Week of August - last week of November

If you are selected to go to Sydney keep in mind that you will have to meet the new GPA & English Language Requirements, which will be implemented from August 2020 onwards. You don’t have to worry about both requirements until after you have been selected by UU. The requirements must be met at the moment of application at the University of Sydney.

The requirements are:

  • A grade of 8 or higher in final year English VWO or
  • A TOEFL (min. score 90) or IELTS (min. score 6.5) test
  • Students enrolled in a fully English taught Bachelor or Master programme (for example UCU), can provide a letter attesting to the fact that their degree is taught and assessed entirely in English

Sydney's GPA requirement is 3.0 (down to 2.8 on case by case basis). This is comparable to UU 6,8 or above.
