Academic calendar

Semester I: 1st week of October – 2nd week of February
Semester II: 3rd week of February – last week of July

Orientation generally commences mid September for Semester I and mid February for Semester II.

Exams take place mid January until mid February for Semester I and in June for Semester II.

Requirements

GPA (Average Grade)

There is no GPA requirement for this destination.

Language Requirement

The student is required to have very good language skills (very good knowledge in reading, writing and speaking of the language) in English or Slovene (at least B2 level) in order to be able to study here.

Areas of study open to exchange students

All areas, except the Faculty of Computer and Information Science.

Limited availability at the Economics & Business faculty.

Courses may be selected from one faculty only.

Language of instruction

The University of Ljubljana offers instruction in Slovenian and English.

Intensive language course in Slovene for Erasmus+ students

Housing assistance

Erasmus students can apply for a bed in student dormitories. Beds are given to students on “first come first serve” basis. The rooms are double, with shared bathroom and shared kitchen. The price of the room depends on the type of the apartment and size of the room. The average price per person per month in a double room is 120-190 EUR.

Normal study load per semester: 30 ECTS (60 per year).

Grading scale: 1-10, with 6 being the passing grade.
