If you are unable to do so please contact so that we can contact your home university coordinator.

We are unable to guarantee a place in university accommodation (but in past years all students that applied have been placed). Halls are grouped as either Oadby Student Village (OSV) or City Living. The OSV is approximately a 40 minute walk from the main campus, and there is a regular bus to and from campus. Shops and a supermarket are nearby, and students can enjoy the University’s botanical garden. City Living halls are approximately a 10 minute walk from the main campus.

For information on university accommodation at Leicester please see:

Students must apply for accommodation before the deadline to be considered (1st September for Semester 1, and 1st December for Semester 2). A deposit of £250 is required to secure the booking. Applications can be made through the accommodation portal: We cannot guarantee that students will be allocated their preferred choice.
Popular halls among Erasmus students are City Living options, including Freemen’s Common, Nixon Court and Mary Gee Houses.

Surveys by HSBC (14/15) have found that the University of Leicester is the most affordable place for undergraduate students in the UK.

How much a student spends will depend on their choices, however we estimate that students should budget approx. Eur. 880,- per month for a student lifestyle to cover accommodation, lighting, heating, food and personal expenses (*2017)
