Academic calendar

Semester I: 1st week of September – 4th week of December 
Semester II: 1st week of January – 3rd week of May

Orientation generally commences the last week of August for Semester I and the 1st week of January for Semester II.

Exams take place the 3rd and 4th week of December for Semester I and the 3rd week of May for Semester II.

Requirements

GPA (Average Grade)

Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, although applications with a slightly lower GPA will also be accepted if accompanied by 2 recommendation letters of teachers. 

English Language Requirement

Language Proficiency Form provided by a teacher or professor.

Courses at Master’s level

Most master courses are open to exchange students, with some exceptions. Check the availability in the course catalogue.

Language of instruction

Courses are conducted in English, Cantonese or Putonghua/Mandarin. For language of instruction for a specific course, please refer to the “Course information” website listed above.

Housing assistance

Undergraduate exchange students are guaranteed in on-campus housing and are assigned to double or triple-occupancy rooms. 

On-campus housing is assigned automatically; application is not required.

Estimated living costs for an undergraduate student are around 11850 HKD per month (1487 EUR). (Estimate from 2022).
