Requirements

Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in English is required.

 

Swedish language courses on different levels are offered for free by the Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism to all incoming exchange students Incoming exchange students - Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism (su.se)

Areas of study open to exchange students

1. Media and Communication (department of Media Studies). Subjects taught here include:

  • Media and Communication and Cinema Studies
  • Students may take 7.5 EC in another department.

Please note that in semester 1 it is not possible to obtain 30 EC, since only 3 BA courses in English are offered. In semester 2 more courses in this subject are offered in order to obtain a full programme of 30 EC.

2. Art History, History of Ideas, General and Comparative Literature, Music and Musicology, Performing Arts

Students have to take at least 50% of their courses within the department.

3. Slavic and Baltic Studies (Dutch, Finnish and German). De NVT-stage is open voor studenten van de BA Dutch Language and Literature of studenten van de BA Language and Culture Studies, met een focus op Nederlands, Linguistics of Second Language Acquisition. Neem contact op met Dr. Rianne van Lieburg (a.vanlieburg@uu.nl) voor informatie over de mogelijkheden rondom een NVT-stage.
