Estimated living costs per month

625-650 Euro. Besides that, all exchange students are obliged to pay an Exchange Administrative Fee (EAF) of  R4,850 per semester  (= appr €500). About half of this fee is for registration, the other half if for your own usage, such as internet, printing for courses, the gym, student societies etc.

Credits

Normal study load per term
in credits: 30 ECTS (1 ECTS credit = 2 South African Credits)
in courses: 3 to 5 courses (depending on load of each course)

Grading system: percentages (75% is max)
Minimum pass: 50%

Number of places available

4 places per year. Selection was necessary in the past few years.
