Requirements

Language of instruction: Spanish (only some courses in English).
Requirement: Spanish Certificate B1 level prior to arrival in Madrid, but B2 level recommended!!!!

- OLS online Course results with at least a B1 level and the commitment to enroll in the Spanish course upon arrival at UAM.

- Test results from the language service of the home university or a different language institute with at least a B1 level.

- Spanish B1 or higher level official certificates. 

In addtion, if your level of Spanish is not sufficient, you might not be able to reach the minimum amount of ECTS for the Erasmus+ grant and or obtain sufficient credits. Utrecht University will check/monitor your level of Spanish.

Some English courses are available; more information

Due to the limited supply of courses in English, a whole study period solely in English is unfeasible. In any case, it is obligatory
to matriculate a minimum of 25% of the student´s total credits in subjects that are taught in Spanish.

Estimated living costs per month

The cost of living in Madrid is one of the highest of all cities in Spain. You will need between 500€ to 1000€ a month to cover basic costs (accommodation, food, electricity, heating, transport, etc.).
