Erasmus students should arrive in Oslo the week before the start of the semester to ensure that they will be present for the Orientation Week for new students.    


Language of instruction: English 

Language requirement: a minimum of B2 language level (CEFR) in English 

Erasmus students at the University of Oslo may apply for Norwegian Language Courses on foundation and advanced level.

Areas of study open for exchange students

As an international student all courses taught in English at the UiO are open for exchange students, given that that they fulfill the possible prerequisites and that there are enough places.

8 semester places per year, evenly divided over semester 1 & 2. A full year exchange is also possible!

When your are not selected to go in semester 1, we will ask you whether you are interested in going in semester 2.
