Language requirement: a minimum of a B2 language level in English. You have to submit proof of this language proficiency upon your application at the host university.

Areas of study open for exchange students

Exchange students should choose courses mainly from the department they are primarily nominated to (at least 50 %) but they can choose courses from other departments and faculties too. However, the enrollment in these courses is not guaranteed.

Estimated living costs per month

Your personal expenses per month are estimated at: 200–250 EUR (accommodation excluded)

  • University residence with roommates: approximately 120-215 EUR/bed/month
  • Private apartment with roommates: 200-400 EUR/bedroom/month
  • Meal in a student canteen: 3-5 EUR
  • DPMB student transportation pass:
    • for students < 26 y/o: 11 EUR/month  or 27 EUR/3 months
    • for students > 26 y/o: 22 EUR/month  or 54 EUR/3 months

Housing

Housing

Type of housing mostly provided: two twin-rooms with ensuite bathroom and mini-kitchenette (fridge, sink and double hotplate) or a shared kitchen. See all the available halls of residence at

MU assists with the application for MU halls of residence. Students apply for accommodation within the on-line application (see above) where they indicate their approximate arrival/departure date.

Credits

European universities use the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and normally, you obtain 30 ECTS per semester
