Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in English/German is required for courses on BA level. MA courses require a C1 level.

Students are allowed to take some of their courses within other faculties of the university. However, this has to be discussed with the programme coordinator of the agreement.

*: Door een semester aan het Zentrum für Niederlande-Studien in de vredesstad Münster te studeren, krijg je als student de mogelijkheid om een gedifferentieerde blik te vormen over de Duits-Nederlandse betrekkingen binnen Europa. Tijdens het semester word je persoonlijk begeleid door een team van Duitse en Nederlandse docenten die de multidisciplinaire vraagstukken van de cursussen vanuit verschillende invalshoeken bekijken. Studenten moeten zowel Duits als Nederlands voldoende beheersen (B2).

Language of instruction

Most courses are taught in German, only very few lectures and seminars are taught in English or other languages.
There are no additional courses for exchange students. Please make sure to acquire some German skills before you arrive to Münster.

For most students in Germany, the main expense is the monthly rent: In Münster, please calculate € 300-500 per month for your accommodation. 

Other expenses are usually around €300-400 per month, depending on your lifestyle.

Every student is required to pay a so-called "semester fee" each semester. Semester fees cost €342 each semester
