General information for exchange students

Course information. You should select the majority of your courses in the agreed subject area.

Academic calendar

Semester I: Approximately September – December
Semester II: Approximately January – May


Students only planning to take courses within the subject area of their Erasmus exchange agreement and any other 1st / 2nd year level courses do not need to provide evidence of their English level. Though the expectation is that nominated students will have B2 Level English.

Students planning to take 3rd or 4th year level courses in the College of Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences (CAHSS) that are *outside* of the subject area of their Erasmus agreement will be asked for English language competency at CEFR level C1.

Areas of study open to exchange students

Students can only take courses in Linguistics at the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences. However, 33 percent of the courses are allowed to be taken at other departments within the university. Students will have to check and meet the requirements of the course.
