University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is an exchange destination for Utrecht University students of the faculty of Humanities in Los Angeles, United States of America.

UCLA academic year is based on the quarter system: 3 terms, 10 weeks each.
Fall term: approximately mid September – mid December

Students must enrol in a minimum of 8 units per quarter. Students can take courses in the Humanities and Arts. Some undergraduate academic departments have course restrictions, such as Theater, Film and Television.

On-campus housing is available but not guaranteed. Exchange students must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units for undergraduates and 8 or more units for graduates) to apply for UCLA housing.
If on-campus housing is not available, the Community Housing Office provides information about housing possibilities in the area, including apartments, rooms, hotels, and other accommodations.

The cost of living in Los Angeles may be significantly higher than what most students are used to. Although expenses will vary depending on each student's personal budget and needs, UCLA estimates the minimum cost of living to be about $6,500 per quarter and up to $27,000 for a full academic year.
