Requirements | Students who wish to study at Leipzig University must speak either German or the language used in the courses they will take. CEF language level B1 is urgently recommended for all languages of instruction. |

Language of instruction | Mainly courses in the language of the country, limited courses in English. You need to show your proficiency in the language of instruction if courses are not in English. |

Estimated living costs per month | Please note that universities in Germany charge a semester fee which covers your student ID and a semester ticket for public transcript. The 2022 fee is 243,50 EUR for one semester. In total, you will need about 720 EUR a month for your living expenses in Leipzig. Of course, this figure is only an estimate and depends on how much you spend.
