Academic calendar

Semester I: 3rd week of February – end of June
Semester II: 2nd week of July – 2nd week of November

Orientation week commences generally in the 3rd week of February for Semester I and in the 2nd or 3rd week of July for Semester II.

Exams take place in June for Semester I and in the first 3 weeks of November for Semester II.

Requirements

If you are selected to go to Monash keep in mind that you will have to meet academic & English Language Requirements.

Grade requirement
Monash requirement is UU 6.5 or above. Please note that you must meet this requirement at the moment of application at Utrecht University (1st of December).

Language requirement
The language requirement must be met at the moment of application at Monash Melbourne University. Language requirement. Please note that a TOEFL test is no longer a valid proof of English proficiency for Monash, even though it is still listed on their website.

Students enrolled in a fully English taught Bachelor or Master programme (for example UCU), can provide a letter attesting to the fact that their degree is taught and assessed entirely in English.

A final grade of 6 or higher in English language and literature on your Havo or VWO diploma - obtained no longer than five years ago -  also suffices as proof of English proficiency.
