Requirements

Italian and an excellent offering of courses in English.

Language requirements
B1 for Italian spoken courses (B2 Italian master level courses)
B2 for English spoken courses: a language proficiency letter is sufficient for application. It can be provided by the (UU) International Office of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance.

Housing

The LUISS University Accommodation Office is available to assist incoming exchange students in their search for housing. Students can apply for a room in a LUISS Residence or in an apartment shared with other students. More details about the residences can be found at the website. There are limited places available and they will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. Students interested in living in an apartment will receive an email with customized proposals in accordance with the preferences expressed in the 9 housing application form. All flat owners have been carefully selected and students will receive assistance every step of the way including the signature of the rental contact.

Estimated living costs per month

Housing: the average cost is about €350/400 a month (for a place in a double room) and about €500/600 a month (for a single room) plus extras (telephone, electricity, heating, etc.)

Meals: about €2 per meal at the University cafeteria and from €5 to €25 in take-away pizza shops, bars, pizzerias and trattorias.

Public transport: the price of a monthly card (tessera intera rete) for all public transport is €35.

Books: about €300.

Grading

Individual courses are graded on a scale of 18-30/30. Very brilliant students may be awarded 30 cum laude (30 e lode). The minimum passing grade is 18/30.

Starting from the 22-23 academic year grades below 18 are a fail and are not registered on the Transcript of Records. Please be aware that this may impact your Erasmus+ grant.

30 e lode = excellent

29-30 = very good

27-28 = good

24-26 = satisfactory

18-23 = sufficient

< 18 = fail
