Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf is an exchange destination for Utrecht University Bachelor and Master students of the faculty of Humanities in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Semester I: approximately October - February
Language requirement: a minimum language level of B1 (CEFR) in German is required.
The International Office (UU Humanities) recommends a B2 level at the moment of exchange in order to fully participate in the courses.

Students may also choose courses within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. You may choose as many courses outside the subject area as you want, as long as you receive permission for participation by the teaching professors in advance (which is usually the case).

The Centre for German as a Foreign language (Studiengebiet Deutsch als Fremdsprache) offers Erasmus students a 2-week German course before the semester starts. Nominated Erasmus students will receive information on the course in due time via email.
