Courses within the department of Political Science

A wide variety of courses are taught in English,
however, the selection of courses varies from
semester to semester.
Please consult the Course information page for
international students.
Generally, students can choose courses from
one faculty only, and most faculties allow students
to choose courses from one department
only.

Housing

The optional application for housing is integrated
into the admission application.
AU Housing offers a housing guarantee in the
Spring semester. Find more information here

If required, students can access a residence
permit application form online. Students are
advised to submit their application as soon as
possible. More information is available on this
page.

Housing offers will be sent to successful applicants
by 1 July (Autumn semesters) and 15
December (Spring semesters). Students must
accept their housing offer and pay first month’s
rent and booking fee by credit card within 48
hours.

Estimated living costs per month

The standard of living is high and the economy performs above the European average. Accommodation, food, transport and leisure are therefore relatively expensive in Denmark compared to many other countries. However, salaries are correspondingly high, and many services such as medical treatment and schools are paid for via taxes and the Danish welfare system, so that no user fees are charged.

Local transportation: 50 Euro

Credits

Normal study load per term:
in credits:  30 ECTS credits
in courses:  3 or 4 courses

European universities use the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and normally, you obtain 30 ECTS per semester

Study load per semester 22,5 ECTS (minimum) - 30 ECTS credits
