What is this minor about?
The minor explains what Literary Studies is, what approaches are used in the field, and the questions this discipline tries to answer. You get an overview of thinking about literature and a theoretical exploration of the role of literature in society. You get to know the most important aspects of thinking about literature and its role in society. This is a good preparation for a master's programme in this field of study.
This minor is not accessible to students of the BA-programme Literary Studies/Literatuurwetenschap.
Curriculum
The minor Literary Studies consists of 4 compulsory courses (30 EC). The first 2 courses of this minor are offered in Dutch and English in parallel groups. In principle, you can choose the language per course, but it is also possible that, due to the efficient filling of the groups, a place in a certain language group will be assigned.
