European Governance

The following two courses are compulsory for all students:

• Period 1: School of Economics: Introduction to the Economics of European Integration EC2IEEI (Note: students from the School of Economics need to follow the course: European Integration (GEO3-3021) instead)
• Period 2: School of Law: Foundations of European Union Law RGBUIER008 (Not for students from the School of Law)
• Period 3: School of Law: International and European Institutional Law RGBUIER011 (Only for students from the School of Law)

Out of the following three courses, you need to follow at least two:

• Period 2: School of Governance: European Governance USG4180
• Period 4: Faculty of Geosciences: European Integration GEO3-3021
• Period 4: School of Governance: EU Governance in Practice: Analysing the European Union from multiple perspectives USG4270 * 

* Note: for EU Governance in Practice: Analysing the European Union from multiple perspectives (USG4270) it is necessary to have successfully completed either European Governance, European Integration, or Foundations of European Union Law, or courses with similar content followed at other universities, before entering the course.

Is the enrolment period closed but you still want to register for a course? Then take advantage of the late enrolment days. This does carry a risk, as courses may already be full.

All students of Utrecht University can apply for this minor’s programme using the application form.

This form is only available during application periods. The student desk will take care of the actual registration. 

Erasmus Exchange students will have to indicate their interest in  the minor’s programme on European Governance on their  learning agreement. More information is available from the International Office of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance.
