Universität Salzburg is an exchange destination for Utrecht University Bachelor and Master students of the faculty of Humanities in Salzburg, Austria.
Semester I (Winter Semester): October - January
Semester II (Summer Semester): March - June
Plan to arrive one or two weeks in advance, because the enrolment process will take some time. Introductory courses and events (e.g. preparatory German classes, Orientation Week) will also be offered at the beginning of the semester.
Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in German/English is required.
Students can take courses at the Department of Music and Arts. Subjects taught here cover Archeology, Communication, English Studies, French Studies, Gender Studies, German Studies, History, History of Art, International Relations, Linguistics, Musicology, Philosophy, and Religion. Note that students interested in taking Musicology courses have priority.
Also, students are invited to take some of their courses at other departments within the university, as long as students fulfil language and academic requirements, are registered within the deadline using the registration portal and have been accepted by the teachers.
English and German
The University does not own any dormitories for students. Students are responsible for finding their own housing while in Salzburg.
