Semester I (Autumn Semester): approximately early August – end of December
Semester II (Spring Semester): approximately early January – end of June
Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in English is required.
Students can take courses at the Faculty of Humanities. Subjects covered are Archeology, English Studies, French Studies, Gender Studies, German Studies, History, History of Art, Italian Studies, Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy, and Religion.
Students may choose courses at other faculties and departments, but will only be admitted as long as they have the necessary prerequisites, described in the course list and if there are places available at the course.
English and Norwegian
Despite Norway’s high living costs, students are able to manage well on reasonable budgets. An estimate of an average student budget in Norway is about NOK 12 122 per month (2019) for most expenses including housing, food, study materials, public transportation and activities.
