Semester I (Winter Semester): Approximately September – December
Semester II (Summer Semester): Approximately January – May


Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in English is required.

Areas of study open to exchange students

Students can take courses at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Subjects taught here cover Archeology, Celtic Studies, English Studies, History, History of Art, Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy, and Religion. 

Also, students can take up to 50 percent of their courses at other faculties within the university. Entry to these courses will be subject to previous experience, availability and timetabling. 

Note that students are not permitted to take Level 4 English Language + Literature courses nor Masters-level (Level 5) courses.

Aberdeen is a relatively expensive city to live in. It is estimated that students will require approximately £650-£850 per month to cover university accommodation, food, clothing, entertainment, local travel, laundry etc. Costs will obviously vary depending on your lifestyle and spending habits.
