Students can either take courses in Journalism, Archeology and History, or Linguistics. 

Courses at Master’s level


Language of instruction

Mainly Dutch, some courses in English.

Housing assistance

For students staying in Antwerp for one semester or less than 6 months the housing application is included in the application. Students staying longer than 6 months will make their own arrangements.

There is plenty of offer on the student accommodation market in Antwerp. Most rooms are rented for a period of 10 to 12 months, so students staying for a full academic year should have no problem finding a room.

Estimated living costs per month

Normal study load per semester: 30 ECTS
Course units at the University of Antwerp mostly have an ECTS value of 3 or 6 credits.

Number of places available

Journalism/Media: 2 places per year

Languages: 1 place per year

History: 2 places per year


Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in the language of instruction (Dutch/English) is required.
