Requirements

Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in German is required.

Areas of study open to exchange students

German Studies and Linguistics (German only).

Courses are taken at the Herder-Institut, which belongs to the Faculty of Philology. There are quite a few more subjects within the faculty which students can take: however this will depend on the teachers' agreement. So it is always necessary to get in touch with the university teacher to ask for permission. Also, as long as the teacher allows it, students can take courses outside the faculty. Note, however, that some teachers do not allow Erasmus students to take part in their courses if groups are too large.
