Semester I: approximately mid-September - January
Semester II: approximately February - June
Examination periods: Approximately January-February, June-July, September-October
Language requirement Bachelor: a minimum language level of B1/B2 (CEFR) in Italian is required.
The International Office (UU Humanities) recommends a B2 level at the moment of exchange in order to fully participate in the courses.
Language requirement Master: a minimum language level of B2/C1 (CEFR) in Italian is required.
Students can take courses at the Department of Legal, Language, Interpretation and Translation Studies. Courses can then be taken in Communication, Dutch Language and Culture, English Studies, French Studies, German Studies, and Italian Studies. However, it is possible to attend a maximum of 40 percent of your courses at other departments, like Literature, Economy, Political Sciences, and Legal Science. The teachers of these courses must be asked to agree with the fact that Erasmus students attend their classes, but usually this is no problem.

Accommodation: 100-150 Euros for a place in a double room
Food: 100 Euros Transportation: 30 Euros per month
Books: 50 Euros (most of the books can be borrowed at the university libraries)
