Academic Calendar


Language requirement: a B1 language level (CEFR) in Spanish/English is required. The International Office (HUM) recommends a B2 level at the moment of exchange in order to fully participate in the courses.

Taking courses in the Hispanic Studies degree requires at least a C1 level of Spanish. Enrolment in the English Studies and Modern Languages and Translation degrees requires at least a C1 level of English.

Areas of study open to exchange students

Students can take Communication and Linguistics courses at the Faculty of Arts. Students are also invited to take some of their courses at other faculties. Note that whether or not you are allowed to take courses within other fields depends on your academic background, special language requirements and course availability. Moreover, some courses are not available to exchange students.

Students can book accommodation prior to their arrival in one of the University Residence Halls or arrange to stay with a family, in a private flat or in a hotel or hostel in the cities of Alcalá and Guadalajara.
