Lille 3 University is an exchange destination for Utrecht University Bachelor and Master students of the faculty of Humanities in Lille, France. The University is also known as Université Charles-de-Gaulle - Lille 3.

Semester I: September - January
Semester II: January - June
Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in French is required.
Students can take courses at the Department of Arts. Subjects taught here are Cinema, Fine Arts, Music and Performing Arts. However, as long as there are still places in the course, students are also allowed to take other courses within the university.
International students in exchange programs can apply for CROUS university accommodation because the Direction of International mobilities has a number of reserved rooms. The rooms on the university campus are (sometimes but not always) smaller and less comfortable than a studio in town, but they have financial advantages: they are cheap, are exempt from the housing tax, and for electricity, gas or other utilities, no need to deal with the contract.

International students can also benefit from French classes, with a curriculum enabling them to gradually reach an adequate level (through the Department of French as a foreign Language - DEFI) as well as French courses in specific scientific fields (by the maison des langues). More information.
