Semester I: Mid August – Mid-December
Semester II: Mid January – End May

At the IT University the academic semester starts in week 5 (spring semester) and in week 35 (autumn semester). The teaching runs for 14 weeks and the ordinary exams will be held in May/June (spring semester) and December/January (autumn semester). 


Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2 (CEFR) in English is required.

Areas of study open to exchange students

Students are allowed to take courses in Computer Science, Design, and Business Administration. However, students can choose between all courses offered at the university as long as the courses are open to exchange students and as long as the level matches (MSc students can only take MSc courses). Students need to make sure that they meet the prerequisites as stated in the course base. This is required for all courses offered.

Group work is common at the ITU and will require exchange students to be able to participate in both oral and written English.

Housing assistance

After being nominated, the university will inform you about the application procedure for housing. ITU dorm rooms are managed by The University of Copenhagen Housing Foundation. ITU has limited access to fully furnished dorm rooms close to the ITU.
