Requirements

Your GPA is 4.0/7.0 (pass) or equivalent

The official level one English language requirements for exchange and study abroad students applying to Flinders University are:

IELTS (academic test): 6.0 with 6.0 in speaking and writing
TOEFL (internet-based): 72 with 18 in speaking and writing
Cambridge CAE: B2
Pearson: 50 overall with 50 in speaking and writing 

Other evidence of English language proficiency may be accepted. Evidence of English language proficiency must be no more than two years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course.

Areas of study open to exchange students

The agreement is with the 'College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences'. Subjects that are taught here are Archeology, Communication, English Studies, French Studies, German Studies, History, Italian Studies, Linguistics, Media, and Tourism. 

Students may take courses outside this college, however:

  • Students must meet pre-requisites for each topic and obtain approval by a topic coordinator before they can enrol in any topics. In most cases UG students are not approved to enrol in PG level topics.
  • All international students must study full time in Australia. This is minimum of 13.5 units at Flinders. Most of our topics are worth 4.5 units each.
