Workshop 'Transferable skills'
If you want to convince an employer that you’re the right person for a job or an internship, you need the ability to present your skills with clarity and conviction. This workshop will make you aware of the transferable skills you’ve developed in your studies, at your temp jobs and in your extracurricular activities.
For whom: 3rd-year and 4th-year Bachelor's and Master's degree students and recent UU graduates
Topics that will be discussed:
- You will catalogue your personal transferable skills
- You will learn to distinguish between specialist and generic (though job-specific) skills
- You will practice providing examples that show what skills you possess
Upon completing the workshop, you’ll know exactly what your skills are and you’ll be better able to advertise them.
This is a 3 hour workshop that is frequently offered throughout the year.
