Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School
The Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS) will prepare you for a future with Southeast Asia and China as major players on the world stage.
About the programme
In the NAHSS programme, you learn about Asia through a preparatory track and summer programme that includes academic, business and cultural aspects. During the preparatory track, you work with students from different universities and with various academic backgrounds on a consultancy project, attend lectures by Asia experts, visit multinationals, and work on your soft skills.
After the preparatory track, you travel to Asia for the summer programme. There, you get the opportunity to work on case studies with societal impact, visit important multinationals, and of course explore the culture.

Study programme and time investment
NAHSS in short:
- Taught in English.
- Starts in March with a kick-off weekend.
- Preparatory track of 5-10 hours per week from March to June.
- Three weeks in Asia in July - August.
- In addition to your regular degree programme.
For the NAHSS programme, you have to pay a contribution of between €1200-1300. The NAHSS uses this contribution to provide for the participants’ flights to Asia, accommodation throughout the summer programme (in the Netherlands and Asia), and all activities during the summer school. Expenses incurred for compulsory COVID19-tests, meals, beverages and self-organised activities in Asia are at your own expense.
