Pre-Medical programme
At UCU, students can compose a personalized curriculum by combining courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Medical Science, while also benefiting from the broad academic foundation of a Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) education. As part of UCU’s interdisciplinary philosophy, students in the pre-med programme are also expected to take courses in Humanities (HUM), Social Sciences (SSC), and languages.
The pre-medical programme at UCU prepares students for:
- Medical Science Master programmes (e.g., SUMMA, zij-instroom), primarily for Dutch-speaking students or those fluent in Dutch
- Biomedical and Biochemistry MSc programmes, accessible to both Dutch and international students
- Health Policy, Global Health, and related interdisciplinary programmes, in both national and international contexts
At UCU, I get the opportunity to combine my preparation for a medical career with other subjects I find interesting, such as psychology and Spanish – a unique opportunity!
