The program allows students to learn about urban governance and transitions, and engage in internship activities with and for local partners.
The program is open to interested students who are have completed their breadth requirement. Students interested in the fields POL, SOC, and GEO are especially invited to participate. Students will enrol in the course Urban Governance, which is offered at the Utrecht School of Governance in period 3 on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. No prerequisites will apply for UCU students.
The Urban Governance course will count as a Social Science course at level 3 but it will not automatically fulfil any other requirements.
The internship is a level 2 social science internship, registered as such on the transcript. It does not fulfil any specific graduation requirements.
