Practical matters
Where can I find my schedule?
You can access your personal schedule via MyTimetable. The class schedules for semester 2 will be available in MyTimetable by mid-January.
We offer various types of classes, such as lectures, practicals, seminars and tutorials. Most education is scheduled to take place on location at Utrecht Science Park.
Please note: The schedule for the introduction activities is only available here on this website (see ‘SEC introducation activities’) and is not published via MyTimetable!
Your work group number
You can find your work group number in OSIRIS or (once the schedule has been published) by logging into MyTimetable.
Where can I find my study programme (recommended timeline)
All information about our degree programmes, including the recommended timelines, can be found on the student website. Please go to students.uu.nl/teaching and click on your degree programme. From there, go to 'Study programme' in the 'Academics' section.
You have to purchase your own books. You can do this at any bookstore. Make sure you order your books well in advance, because you’ll often need them in the first week.
Which books do I need?
Not only will you need books for your courses, but you may also be required to do additional reading (and assignments) in preparation for the introduction activities. You can find the required literature in one or both of the places below:
- Every course is listed in the OSIRIS Course Catalogue, which contains a course description including a list of required course materials. If you are still unsure which courses you will be taking, please check your study programme on the student website.
- In addition, the Introduction letter of your study programme provides you with information on the required literature and the assignments you may have to complete before the start of the introduction.
