I have not yet received a password for OSIRIS or a student number. What do I do?

First check whether you have paid your tuition fees. Contact Student Services if you have not received your password one week before the introduction period commences.

I have not received any information about the Startweek Stage/Baan, Startdag and/or the Opening Session. What do I do?

Don’t worry, all the information you need can be found in the introduction letters on this site (see the 'SEC introduction activities' page and ‘Infobrieven en informatie Vakdidactiek’ on the Dutch website). Also contact the Student Information Point (stip.gst@uu.nl) to check your registration for the study programme.

I intend to follow an educational minor. Is the Startweek Stage/Baan intended for me?

Yes, the Startweek is intended for all students who are enrolling at a full-time or part-time study programme at the Graduate School of Teaching, including minor/EP and 'Educatieve Module' students.

I have already studied at Utrecht University. Do I have to attend the Startweek Stage/Baan or Startdag anyway?

The first courses begin during the Startweek and Start Day. This is also when you got to meet your fellow students. Your presence is therefore mandatory.

What if I am ill?

If you are ill during the Startweek, Startdag or the Opening Session, report this via email to the Intro GST team (intro.gst@uu.nl). Always include your name and student number when doing this.

I am doing the in-service variant of the programme (track Teacher Degree). What if I have to work at my school during the Intro GST?

It is very important that you do everything you can to be able to attend all activities (attendance is mandatory), so please try to talk about this with your supervisors at school. Hopefully you can come to an agreement. If you cannot get the full introduction off work, please contact us. We will then determine whether alternative assignments are possible and/or necessary to make up for missed sessions during the introduction.

I have not yet received a definite letter of acceptance for the Master’s programme. What do I do?

In the conditional letter of acceptance, you will find the conditions you need to have met before the start of the programme. Send the proof that you have satisfied these conditions to:

Fac. Social & Behavioural Sciences/OSZ
Attn. Master’s Admission GST
Padualaan 14, 3584 CH Utrecht

You may also deliver this to the Student Information Point (STIP). If you cannot meet all requirements in time, send an email to mastertoelating.gst@uu.nl.

Please note: Registering as a Master’s student
It is extremely important that you are correctly registered as a student at Utrecht University.
If you are not correctly registered, any results achieved are null and void. To ensure you are registered correctly, you must:

  1. satisfy the entrance requirements;
  2. have received a definite letter of acceptance for the Master’s programme;
  3. have handed in an authorisation for payment of tuition fees to Studielink.

In Studielink you can check whether you are correctly registered. See to the above matters as quickly as possible if your registration is not in order! For questions about Studielink and tuition fees you can contact Student Services. For more detailed questions about your admission please send an email to mastertoelating.gst@uu.nl.

When will I be registered for courses?

Apart from minor, Educational Profile and 'Educatieve Module' students, all students at the Graduate School of Teaching have been sent a link to a course registration form. These forms will be processed by STIP before the start of the programme. Once your course registration has been fully processed the courses, you’re registered for will become visible in OSIRIS.

If you are a Master’s student and have not received or filled in a course registration form, please send an email to gst@uu.nl as soon as possible. Educational minor, Educational profile and module students are registered automatically by us and therefore do not receive a registration form.
