Are the Startweek Internship/Job and the Opening session mandatory?
The Startweek Internship/Job and the Opening session do indeed constitute a mandatory part of your Master’s programme. The first lectures and working-group sessions of the programme take place during the Startweek Internship/Job or the Opening session.
Do I have to register for the Startweek Internship/Job or the Opening session?
No, you are automatically registered for the Startweek Internship/Job or the Opening session, depending on the orientation period in which you need to participate.
I have not yet received a password for OSIRIS or a student number. What do I do?
First check whether or not you have paid your tuition fees. Contact Student Services if you have not received your password one week before the orientation period commences.
I have not received a letter/email about the Startweek Internship/Job and the Opening session. What do I do?
Don’t worry, all the information you need can be found on this site under Welcome package in the menu. Also contact the Student Information Point (STIP) (firstname.lastname@example.org) to check your registration for the study programme.

Are there expenses involved with the Startweek Internship/Job and the Opening session?
You do not have to pay a registration fee. Food and drinks during the Startweek Internship/Job and the Opening session are at your own expense.
I intend to follow an educative minor at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Is the Startweek Internship/Job intended for me?
No, the Startweek Internship/Job is intended only for students who are enrolling at a full-time or part-time study programme at the Graduate School of Teaching.
I have already studied at Utrecht University. Do I have to attend the Startweek Internship/Job anyway?
The first courses begin in the Startweek Internship/Job. Your presence is therefore mandatory. In addition, you can immediately get to meet your fellow students during the Startweek Internship/Job.
What if I am ill?
If you are ill during the Startweek Internship/Job of the Opening session, report this via email to the Intro GST team (email@example.com). Always include your name and student number when doing this.
I have not yet received a definite letter of acceptance for the Master’s programme. What do I do?
In the conditional letter of acceptance you will find the conditions you need to have satisfied. Send the proof that you have satisfied these conditions to:

You may also deliver this to the Student Information Point (STIP). If you do not satisfy the conditions, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: Registering as a Master’s student
It is extremely important that you are correctly registered as a student at Utrecht University.
If you are not correctly registered, any results achieved are null and void. To be regarded as correctly registered you must:
- satisfy the entrance requirements;
- have received a definite letter of acceptance for the Master’s programme;
- have handed in an authorisation for payment of tuition fees to Studielink.
In Studielink you can check whether you are correctly registered. Is your registration not in order? In that case, see to the above matters as quickly as possible! For questions about Studielink and tuition fees you can contact Student Services. For more detailed questions about your admission you can send an email to email@example.com.
When will I be registered for courses?
All students who will be participating in the Graduate School of Teaching will be sent a link to a registration form via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Should you not have received an email about this or, upon closer inspection, not have completed the form, send an email as quickly as possible to email@example.com. As soon as you are registered for the courses, you can view your study schedules on OSIRIS. Before then, you can consult the study schedules listed in the Course Catalogue.
