Arguing with a roommate, a bad grade or worrying about a loved one-everyone faces disappointments and difficult moments. This can lead to fretting, dejection or avoidant behaviour. The ability to bounce back after a setback and integrate that experience into your personality is called resilience. In this workshop, you will discover how to recognise and develop your resilience. This will increase your self-confidence and your ability to deal with difficult events.

After this workshop

  • you understand what resilience is and how to strengthen it.
  • learn to look at setbacks differently, including with storytelling.
  • discover which resources you can use to become more resilient.
  • practice reacting consciously instead of automatically.

For whom

All UU students and (recent) graduates, and PhD students from all Graduate Schools.

Note: Given that this training is also open to PhD students, there is a small chance that you, as a student, will meet a lecturer during this workshop.
