Choices during your studies

Contact your study advisor with questions about the access and content of the minor if it is connected to your programme. If the minor belongs to another programme, it is best to contact the study advisor of that programme. With questions about the suitability of a minor for admission to a master's programme, you can contact the master's coordinator of that master's programme. 

Discuss your questions with your tutor, fellow students and lecturers. You can also attend minor markets and master open days for orientation purposes.

General information about minors can be found on the minor page.The Education and Examination Regulations (EER/OER) provide information on general and specific education and examination regulations. These can be found on your programme page under regulations and procedures. Also attend the minor information sessions given by the study advisors.

Contact the International Office with questions about opportunities and procedures. Questions about the requirements for courses abroad and opportunities regarding internships and thesis writing can be discussed with your student advisor.

Discuss your questions with your tutor, fellow students and teachers. You can also attend meetings organized by the International Office, such as during the Study Abroad Weeks.

The OER can be found on your programme page under regulations and procedures. Further information can be found in the information emails from the International Office or the information sessions of student advisors.

Contact your study advisor with questions about regulations and your study planning. Contact the study advisor of the (extra) programme you would like to take with questions about the possibilities.

Talk to students who are already doing two separate bachelors or a double degree.

On the double degree programmes page you can find information about the double degree programmes and about combining two Bachelor's programmes. You can also attend information sessions given by the study advisors.

You can contact the UU student counsellor who has insight in board positions, for example with questions about board grants. Do your questions relate to your study planning during a board year? Then contact your study advisor.

Talk to students who are currently on a board about the pros and cons of such a position during your studies.

There are numerous student organisations looking for new board members every year, including student, study, and sports associations as well as other student organisations and participation bodies. Every student organisation is different, which is why there is no one-size-fits-all answer to many questions. More information can therefore best be found on the webpage of your student organisation.
