Gifted Student Group
Do you recognize yourself in a different way of thinking, learning, and communicating? Do you find your studies not challenging enough, or do you lack study skills because you never had to study hard before? Are you quick, creative, and analytical, with strong self-awareness and/or high sensitivity? Curious, deep in connections, but sometimes also uncertain, down, or lonely? If this sounds familiar, we warmly invite you to the gatherings of the Double Sided Community.
Why this name?
We prefer to call our group the Double Sided Community because the term "giftedness" does not fully align with the lived experience of those who recognize themselves in these traits. This is due to the stigma associated with the term and its focus on performance. In reality, themes such as meaning, sensitivity, curiosity, intrinsic motivation, autonomy, and a strong sense of justice are often far more important than external evaluation criteria. Since "giftedness" comes with both advantages and challenges, we chose the name Double Sided Community.
I feel understood and appreciated by this group, without stigmas or prejudices.
For whom | Students who identify with these traits and want to be part of a community to strengthen each other’s abilities and offer support where needed are welcome to join. You do not need a diagnosis of "giftedness" to participate. |

Attending this group for the first time felt like a breath of fresh air. It gave me a feeling of overwhelming understanding and compassion. After 3 years, this group still feels like that.
