Complaints Coordinator

As a student, you may encounter situations where you are not satisfied with the treatment by a staff member or service of the university. It is important to know what steps you can take to express and resolve your complaint. Below you can find information about possible steps to take in this situation.

As a student you may for example have a complaint about one of the following subjects:

  • Inadequate supervision of your thesis or practical;
  • Incorrect or unclear information regarding, for example, the planning of exams or study progress requirements;
  • Unpleasant behaviour of a member of academic teaching staff or another staff member;
  • Inadequate or non-existent facilities;
  • The manner in which an email was answered (poor communication).

Who can I contact?

Initially, you can try to resolve the issue informally, by discussing the problem with the person in question or by seeking advice from your study advisor or a Complaints Coordinator.

If your complaint is serious, or you find it difficult to discuss your complaint and/or you have failed to resolve your problem informally, you can file a formal complaint via the digital form. The complaint will then be directed to the appropriate complaints coordinator.
