Academic calendar

Semester I: 1st week of September - 3rd week of December
Semester II: 1st week of January - last week of April

Orientation generally commences the first week of September for Semester I and the first week of January for Semester II.

Exams take place the 2nd and 3rd week of December for Semester I and the 3rd and 4th week of April for Semester II.

Requirements

GPA (Average Grade)

Bachelor: There are no GPA requirements for this programme.
Master: At least an average grade of 6.5, also in your bachelor program. Some Graduate programs have higher requirements.

English Language Requirement

UU students will receive a letter from the international office stating their English proficiency. You will have to hand this in after your selection by Utrecht University.

Estimated living costs per month

Living costs are estimated around 2000-2900 CAD. You can find a detailed breakdown of the living costs here (go to page 6). As an exchange student, you will not have to pay tuition fees.

Number of places available

2 places per year.

After the 1 December deadline it is not possible anymore to apply for an exchange to this partner university, even for semester 2 (start January next academic year), due to early application deadlines. This means you have to apply before December 1st.

Selection

Selection is expected as there are only 2 places available. You are advised not to place this university as your second or third choice.
