There is no GPA requirement for this destination.

Language Requirement

Students are required to take a preparatory language course or a intensive language course in Portuguese.

Courses at Master’s level

Yes.

Language of instruction

Mostly courses in Portuguese, but limited courses are offered in English. You need to show your proficiency in the language of instruction if courses are not in English. 

English taught course offer only in the faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology. We discourage students to take courses outside of these faculties unless you speak Portuguese.

Housing assistance

Mobility students may book their own accommodation at student residences or private lodging by using the online accommodation platform of the University of Coimbra available at this website.

Estimated living costs per month

You will need about 500 euros per month to cover accommodation, school materials, transport, meals and other expenses.

Normal study load per term in credits: 30 ECTS, in courses: 4-6 course units

Grading system: 0-20 scale
Minimum pass: 10
