| Academic calendar | Semester I: 1st week of September - 3rd week of January Orientation generally commences at the start of each semester. Exams take place mid December until late January for Semester I and in May for Semester II. |
| Requirements | A B2 level of Spanish is required. Some faculties might have a higher requirement: Language Requirements by Faculty. Upload your DELE/SIELE results certificate or proof of a confirmed test appointment reservation in Osiris as part of your application to UU (deadline December 1st). Applications without one of these documents will not be considered. If you upload proof of a confirmed test appointment reservation: you must meet the required Spanish level at the time of nomination! |
| Areas of study open to UU students | Study: Most areas, except Medicine, Pharmacy, Odontology, Veterinary Medicine, which are excluded from the agreement. You will be nominated under 1 Subject Area (for example Marketing). You must follow at least 3 courses within this Subject Area and you are allowed to take max 2 courses at 1 other Subject Area / faculty. Internship: |

| Language of instruction | Mostly Spanish and some courses in English. UCM cannot guarantee availability of spots in the limited courses offered in English. |

| Estimated living costs per month | Although the average monthly expenses of a student are about €900-€1,300, prices (especially housing) vary quite a lot depending on the place you choose (and if you choose a shared flat, a hall of residence, etc.). |

| Number of places available | 20 places per year. Places are allocated to subject areas and faculties (see below). Business & Economics and Social Sciences fill up quickly as they have courses taught in English. Social Sciences & Law: 15 places, maximum of 6 psychology |
| Selection | In previous years, there were enough spots for the number of 1st choice applications. Please note that this is only an indication, we have no insight in the number of applications for this destination in the current application round. For Arts and Humanities & Psychology, selection was necessary in the past few years. |
